What do you think I should do?

Fh and I have been having a real tough time picking a first dance song. From the beginning we were going to go with Heaven (the candle light version DJ SAMMY) Then we found out that his mom and dad used that as theirs when they got married but by Bryan Adams...his parents do not have the best relationship at all and we felt if we used it we would be jinxed....now we cant find any other song. We were using it bc when we 1st started dating he burned that song on a cd and gave it to me and we both loved it ever since. What should we do??? Use it or just look for another song? We also felt then it wouldnt just be our song...although tons of people use the same song.

The song has sentimental value to you guys! If people can get jinxed from others in reference to songs and such.. I would never have a man! LOL!! It doesn't mean that you will have bad luck. It means something to you both! I say go for it girl!! Use the song! Maybe it will be the other way around and be the clincher for you both to have the opposite of them by using the song! Does that make sense?? LOL

no you aren't being silly!! Some people believe that with the whole jinx thing and that's ok to think like that! You're allowed to.. LOL! Just TRY not to and be happy with your chouce and think POSITIVE!

Definitley use the song. It means something to the both of youl, so what his parents dont have the best relationship that doesn't mean you will be following in their footsteps. If I were you I would defintiley use it.

there is no reason to not use the song.. it's a grat song and it's meaningful to the both of you.. it's not their song, it's yours.. you aren't doing it as a tribute to them..

I say use it!!! We used This I swear by Nick Lachey for our Engagement party song, does that mean our relationship is doomed. NO!!! If you like the song I say it doesn't matter who else used it and how their relationships have turned out!!!

Thanks girls...you all made me feel better...I think I was just being silly about the whole thing and when it came to pick another song, they didnt have any meaning and brought me back to this one..I know its the one and we are going to use it!!!! Thanks so much!!!!

Definitely use it....I feel like every song is going to have a couple that used it and ended up getting divorced. Your relatioship, your song, don't worry about if they had it and ti didnt work. They didn't get divorced b/c they chose the unlucky wedding song.
