What do you think of a Hawaii themed wedding, but keeping my princess dress?
I have my dress. It was so expensive, I cant not wear it and to be honest I LOVE it!!! Its a cinderella dress for sure. My FH wants a laid back hawaii tyoe wedding and I think that would be a great time! My uncle is marrying us behind my FFILs house in Belle Terre overlooking the water on a high hill like a cliff. We are renting a white tent etc...
Im going to wear my dress... Do you think the Hawaii theme just cant fly? Can you recommend something else fun where maybe the guests dont have to dress up as much and I can still wear my dress?

Hey - its your day. Personally I think it may not really go with the theme, but if you want to do it I say go for it.

I think you can have plenty of decorations at the wedding to take care of the theme. Your dress can be anything you want so don't even worry about it - enjoy your gorgeous ballroom gown!!

You are the bride and you should stand out. Whatever you want you can not go wrong. It is YOUR wedding! I would love to see a pic of your dress. It sounds beautiful!

I don't care if your guests are in jeans...you wear your wedding dress. You can always change halfway through your reception. But I'm sure you'll want those pictures with you wearing your princess dress!!!

my uncle just got married over the summer in Hawaii and his bride wore the princess dress on the beach. Remember its your wedding and you are allowed to do what you want to do. You decided to change the venue of your wedding , you lost your deposit at your hall, why would you go and buy another dress when you already spent the money on your dream dress just because it doesnt go with your theme?? I say go for it and be happy. There is no reason why you cant have your princess dress and a hawaii theme too!!!! Just make sure you have fun:)

When I hear Hawaii theme I'm thinking floral shirts, luau type stuff. . . which is fine, but maybe you could do more like a beach theme than a luau. . . linen pants, white shirt. lots of candles. . . . I'm thinking of that Colin Cowie spread you see in all the bridal magazines - i think it's for his collection at jc penney - it's a very stylish, relaxed beach vibe. . . looks really beautiful.
