What do you think of our picks for Video songs?

DH and I have been arguing all night. This is what we have so far:

Preparation - Something (the Beatles)

Highlights - Thank You for Loving Me (our wedding song- Bon Jovi)

Baby pics - Born to Be My Baby (acoustic version)

Formal - All About Loving You (Bon Jovi) Here's the chorus if you don't know it:
'Everytime I look at you, baby I see something new, that takes me higher than before, it makes me want you more. I don't want to sleep tonight, dreaming's just a waste of time. When I look at what my life is coming to, I'm all about loving you.'

Honeymoon - Memories (Elvis)

We're really having a hard time with formal. DH loves the idea of the song we chose- and yeah a Bon Jovi theme is fun for the wedding but for the VIDEO? Are we gonna want that the rest of our lives?

What do you think about Something? Is that a good choice?Or should I go with something completely different like Somewhere Over the Rainbow or Beautiful Day? My only reservation is that's what everybody uses!

ok, I LOVE Something as a song on its own, but I'm thinking maybe a different song for the preparation segment. (for me I think it's just the lyric- 'you're asking me will my love grow, I don't knowwwww, I don't knowwwww'.........mutha @#*!, ya better know after I married your *ss!!

anyhoo....I happen to love Somewhere over the rainbow, and yes it is used a lot nowadays (heck I will probably end up using it too)......but ya can't beat the instrumental beginning. And honestly even if everyone is using it now, you won't be watching everyone's video later on, you'll only be watching yours. Or how bout Faithfully by Journey? I saw that on a video once and I thought it was nice. FBIL had 'From this moment', but that was their wedding song- it worked though b/c the beginning of the duet version Shania is saying some vows or something. k.....HTH!!

I thought the EXACT same thing about the lyric Helen but for some reason it doesn't really bother me....probably because I love the hell outta the song.

I hear ya!! then go with it!!! were you doubting any other song choices? wouldn't it be nice if they could make you like 2 versions of the video using 2 different sets of songs they need to come up with something like that for the indecisive folk such as ourselves!
