What do you think of this dress? Opinions needed!

Ok..so I am down to two dresses ( I think) I have tried on about 8 and to be honest I dont like too many wedding dresses at all...these are the only two I feel comfortable in being kinda like 'me'...so this one is very different then my first choice( jessica simpson knock off Alecon (sp?) lace...

Is this too 'princessy' and maybe too frilly? I am not the princess type and dont want to look like an 80's throwback in my dress?

please give me your opinions of the dress...( no pic of me in it, because I look like a marshmellow...but plan to lose the weight)!

i think its beautiful. the question is when you put it on do you feel beautiful? can you move? are you comfy?
I have a really hard time making decisions but wheni walked out in my dress i just knew it was the one. so if you arent sure keep looking and if you go back to that one then its the one.
i do think its princessy, so if you are not that type of person then you have to ask yourself if you will be happy in this dress, however, its not overkill.

I think its pretty , but you will know when you have found your dress.

I did't think I would cry about a dress, but I did...so when you find the right one your will know!

You still have plenty of time to find your dress. If you don't feel beautiful in it, keep looking.

oh no not another marshmellow girl!! jnzck already used the marshmellow line..if it wasn't so early i would do a cut and paste here, lol.
First, please tell me that is the front and back of a dress..because they look exactly the same. Second, it is a pit too poofy for moi. Where is the pic of the first dress? Why are you cheating on the first dress? I cheated on my dress and it was a mistake, nine times out of ten you should should stick with your first instinct (dress #1, in this case, lol).

PS Hope this makes sense..I am going to have my coffee now

It's beautiful.. I THOUGHT I LOOKED LIKE A MARSMALLOW TOO!!!!!!! I just can't do white, I'm sure you dont' though. I think it's because, truly how many times do we wear big white dresses?? exactly once, that's why we feel like we look like one.. TAKE PICTURES AND LET US SEE.. believe me we'll be honest.. some people said that it wasn't flattering on me, and I appreciate their honesty.. DOn't stress, you will find the right dress.. Go to davids and try on the oleg cassini gown.. I LOVED THEM.. they fit 'just right' GOOD LUCK

Do you have a specific style that you like? What 'look' are you going for? Have you torn out pages from amgazines of dress styles you like? i would try going to a really fancy salon during the week so you get individualized attention and work with one of the dress ladies. You can tell them what your tastes are and they will bring out different styles based on your pics and input.
It's good to have some kind of idea of what you might want.....What do you not like about it???? What, do you think makes you look like a marshmallow?

Have you tired Maggie Sottero she has a lot of non-poofy dresses and a lot of the girls on this site like her. my dress is a maggie and i absolutely love it! It was the only dress I tried on I knew instantly.

Ditto.... I would totally recommend a maggie.... I wore one & I hate traditional princessy poofy wedding dresses....they are just not me......

Not only are maggie dreses super-flattering b/c of their waistlines, and comfy, but you can wear it without a 'poofy' slip & the shape of the skirt is still flattering.

Here is a pic of the first dress I tried on and its from Davids Bridal...( this is NOT me in the pic, but its hard to see the dress in the Davids bridal pic..white on white)

I dont seem to have a 'style' and both dresses look equally good ...the one in this post might just be a little more flattering for my Large chest??

I think both dresses are beautiful! But, if nothing is really jumping out at you, maybe you should look just a little bit more. You mentioned that you don't like too many wedding dresses at all; what about them don't you like? Maybe some of the girls could give suggestions of designers and dresses once we know what it is that you like and don't like.

While I like the 1st dress a lot (esp the neckline), I think I'm in LOVE with the 2nd dress you posted from David's Bridal .. that dress is beautiful!!! And you will look stunning in either gown.

Truthfuly -- either way you will NOT LOOK LIKE A MARSHMELLOW!!!! There is no way you could look anything less than gorgeous, trust me!!

I didn't have any particular style either and never knew what I wanted unitl I found my Maggie ... you will find you dress also, just have patience and don't rush the process.. yolu will be able to get it in time, trust me!
