What do you think of this favor for our NYE wedding

I am having the HARDEST time deciding on a favor. I love edible favors, but since we'll be sending our guests home with their favorite desserts from the Viennese hour, I think it's to repetitive to do something else edible as our favor.

We gave mini champagne bottles as our favor for our eparty so I can't repeat that (even though I loved it!)
We'll also be giving our guests party horns with a cute saying but my mom is convinced this looks to cheap to be an actual favor. She's paying for the favors so I told her I'd decide on something else to give...

I want the favor to tie in with the theme of NYE and be something useful. Will people really use this timer?!?!

My other thought was some kind of 'Happy New Year' christmas ornament, but I can only find a tacky glitter kind online.

Please help... all opinions and suggestions are welcome.

hi, congrats

we used this timer as our seating cards for our engagement party. Our theme was 'it's about time' because we had been dating 10 1/2 years when we got engaged. People loved how it worked with the theme.

I have heard that some of them broke but I was recently babysitting for one of my boss' and there it was sitting on her kitchen counter. I guess people really do use them. Get what you want and if it fits your theme, go for it. They are a good size too....

I would LOVE that as a favor and TOTALLY use it! It fits in with your time frame perfectly -- people could even use it to count down to midnight that very night!

The timer is cute and has the theme, though I would probably not use it Although I would possibly put it away with my holiday stuff and bring it out for the season.

For 2000 my mom got my a silver noisemaker that was engraved. It was expensive, to expensive for a favor, but maybe you can find something like that.

I didn't think of the countdown, thats really cute. You could reference that on your favor tag.

I think it's adorable and fits your theme perfectly. I agree with the edible favor since you're offering so many dessert options. We did chocolates - i was so excited about them and some people left without them!! I couldn't believe it. I am a chocolate lover so that's just crazy to me!!

I think it's cute, but I agree with Michelle that personally I wouldn't use it, but would probably bring it out for the holidays for part of the decoration.

I find another problem with edible favors is servers tend to clear them. I can't tell you how many weddings I have been to where I or someone I know had to fight the waters for my edible favor that they cleared.

Though they do sometimes clear the regular favors too.
