My FH and I are probably going to do this as our favors:
'Keep the music alive by giving guests customized play lists (highlights from the reception, perhaps? Tunes that mean the most to you two?) in a digital package that looks like the vinyl of yesteryear. ' ~theknot.com
We were thinking of custom packaging it with a little thank you note.
What do you girls think?....do you think we should also add candy or something to it?
candy would be a nice touch...maybe some jordanian almonds?

I think it's a good favor idea. I'm a big fan of practical favors. My brother got a cd favor from his friend's wedding and he thought it was cool.

Yes, it's a CD but looks like a vinyl record, and we'll make customized labels. FH is really into music....the draw was that it's something people might actually use...at least that's what we're hoping.

I think it's a great idea as long as you keep your guest list in mind when making the play list.
i love the idea, and know what songs i'd want to put on mine, but i also know the majority of the guest list won't enjoy the music i select. so if you want to do it b/c it's practical just keep that in mind.
it's super cute, and i know i'd like to get it.

Those are really cute. I wish I new about them a few months ago -- we did CD's for my parent's 35th Anniversary the Vinyl look would have been perfect -- oh well.
Anyway I really like them -- I say go for it!
