Honestly, I dont think I'd really like to receive that as a favor. Other people may like it though.

What does everyone think of cd favors? something you would like to get? or not like?

Heres my idea: on the Rsvp part of the invite I will leave a line for a song request (your favorite wedding song or something like that) guests will send back thier song request with thier rsvp. I can compile them and 1. get ideas for the dj who will then NOT have to take requests at the wedding and 2. I can put the favorites onto a cd. I would add a cd jacket with the list of songs and who they were suggested by.

I have seen these as favors- def a nice idea. You can have a picture of you guys as a cover which is a nice touch.

I thought that maybe it would be more enjoyable becuase it has thier songs on it. Trying to make the wedding as personalized and interactive as possible :)

I like the idea. I doing it as well. But I think the CD should be about you and your day. I am putting songs that are special for me and FH.

I think it's a really thoughtful idea!

You could also throw in a few favorite of your songs, so they have that one there, such as your wedding song.

I went to a wedding where they gave us a bag of their favorite things...

It had a CD of their favorite songs
Kettle cooked salt and vinegar chips
some chocolate
a few other things I can't remember. (figures, I remember the food!)
It was really cute though.

My parents got that at a wedding once. They still listen to it, but it was all Frank Sinatra and classic songs. I would make it songs that represent you though, rather then a bunch of random songs from people attending the wedding. Chances are if its songs from each wedding guest, guests won't like more then two - three selections anyhow. At least if its songs that represent you two there's a meaning behind it. I might pair it with an inexpensive edible favor though.

I like the idea of a CD favor and I think young people would enjoy it too b/c u can just pop it in ur car....but i also like the idea of pairing it maybe with something else like an edible favor

my dad is a dj so i will almost def be doing cd favors, i went to 2 weddings where they did this. my brothers and my fh's bestfriend. both had it personalized and includes their wedding song, father'/daugher dance song, etc. they also included their favorite songs along with songs that most people enjoy.
