I don't think it's the color you have to worry about as much as it is the material. If the materials are of the same (ie: both satins) then the slight color difference won't matter as much, if the materials of the dresses are different (ie: one satin, one polished cotton) then the color difference will indeed be more prominent.
I agree that the material will make all the difference. It's tough to tell on a computer but to me, the dresses go well together.
I agree also. When we were bm dress shopping, I realized that some of the dresses were different materials. The saleslady told me that if they are different materials, they will clash in pictures.
