so my RH at the end of the night when guests are leaving hands everyone a piece of gourmet chocolate, i was thinking instead of that since my wedding ends at 1am that i would hand out bagels.
i was thinking of putting a monogram on a brown lunch bag with a bagel and the single serve packages of butter and cream cheese, 1 bagel per guest. so they can either have it in the morning or even if they need to sober up that night lol
what's your honest opinion

I think that's a cute idea. You just have to find out from your RH if they have a place to store the butter and CC so it doesent go bad sitting out all those hours and you need someone to get the bagels the morning of and put them into the bags. I suggest that you maybe put them in ziploc bags first and then into the brown bag to keep them fresh.

its very cute...are you planning on getting all the bagels and stuff yourself? or getting one of those new york carts that are outside of your wedding when it ends...kind of like the big stands you see in the city...some even serve hamburgers, white castle, burger king, hotdogs...others serve danish, muffins, croissants, bagels.
im not sure which way you are thinking of doing it, either way would be great

i actually didnt know about the little cart, although that sounds like it could be expensive. i was thinking of just getting them the day of. our ceremony starts at 7:30pm so im sure i can find someone to go pick the bagels up for me in the morning

ask your RH if they will do it for you. Mine does a farewell table with anything we want.
It's a great idea. I have been to weddings where we got bagels and the Sunday NY Times
Also one gave out Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
My sister gave out chocolate chip cookies

Re: what do you think of this idea?
I've been to two weddings in Lenords of Great Neck where they had gotten bags of bagels (no butter or other toppings) and the newspaper for the bride and groom and they were set on a table for all to take as they left the reception. I thought it was cute and we took them home for the next morning.
Krispy Kreme also makes wedding cake shaped donuts for cheap if you may be interested in that

my reception house offers the bagel thing for an extra $2 a person...so we are doing that and getting coffee mugs to go along with it !!
