what do you think of this idea????updated with picts

I was thinking of doing all different centerpieces at my wedding. let me specify.
12 cp all the same flowers but all in different shapes, sizes and heights. i think it will look good and it will be different.
i am mixing black magic roses, baccara roses and black beauty roses.

I think it sounds very different and like a great idea. Have you ever seen it anywhere?

I really can picture it in my hall so stand in the center of your hall (in your head or in person) and try to picture it.

I've seen this before. But all the same type of centerpiece with different heights. Especially if you have your tables around a dance floor. The tables that are closest to the dance floor have shorter CPs to allow people to see. Great idea!

I've been to a couple of weddings where the alternated between high and low centerpieces and it looked very nice. They are not the type of flowers you are looking at, but I'll post pics so you can see the idea...

The first two pics are from a wedding in 8/03 in PA.

I like the idea, if it is excecuted in the correct way!

First, I would do corresponding centerpieces on each side of the room, so if you have 20 tables, you would have 10 different styles of centerpieces. (That is assuming the dancefloor is in the center of the room, to split up the tables.

I also think that you should make sure, all the ceterpieces are of the same fullness! Maybe the florist could count the flowers in each and have the same amount. That way you don't have a table with this tiny little arrangement next to a table with a huge high arrangement, It may look odd????

Honestly, I'm not crazy about the idea. I really like the idea of alternating high low, but I don't love the idea of having 12 completely different centerpieces. I think it will look a bit too scattered. Maybe if every one of the centerpieces had candles, or the same type of vase? I think you need more than just the color of the flowers to tie it all together. I think there has to be a definite element (besides just the flowers) that is the same throughout all of the cp's.
