LOL - i am doing the SAME THING! i originally wanted my girls to wear amber jewelry (with the chocolate), but since the top is beaded my mom thinks pearls are a better fit!

I loike it because it's something they will get use out of after your wedding.

I have one of these and they are pretty uncomfortable. They sit a bit higher on my neck and its really stiff.

This may be just me but I dont like to receive costume jewelry as gifts..but if you like pearls, these ribbon tied pearls are very fashionable right now:

and you can buy them in a variety of colors for about $4 or $5 in the city.
