so my friend got engaged last night...im happy for him but not totally. he has known this girl for a few years...they have never been together!! like dating...they fool around nothing serious she d*cked him over all the time she had other boyfriends also during the period they knew each other. she never showed feelings for him he went out of his way for her all the time and never got any appreciation back...he is the kind that gets attached very easily and i think this is what happened...he says i love her blah blah he has said that about EVERY girl....i just dont understand how all of a sudden does she want to marry him? i just dont want to see him end up getting hurt in the end...she has told him several tmes before that she cant see herself in a relationship with him but she can marry him

Something doesn't seem right there. Reading what you wrote, all I can think of is that this girl loves the 'idea' of the wedding, but may not be thinking straight about the entire thing. It's a hard situation to sit and watch from the outside, but it's also a touchy subject, because you don't want to say the wrong thing. Are you friends with the girl at all? I was asked when we first got engaged why I wanted to marry FH. It was very easy to answer...maybe you should ask her. It's harmless...

Wow. Something seems a little odd there. The only thing you can do is be a friend to him, if you push one way he may get defensive and feel hurt. Just be there for him and support him.

thank you!!! ihave been saying the same thing....all our friends say she loves him blah blah no she DOESNT even the way she treats him..she threatens him to do things by saying the weddings off...are you kidding me??
i did say to him how do you go from not wanthing anything to do with you to wanting to marry you ..she gives him bs and has him totally brainwashed...she tells him that she was scared to get hurt! give me a break he isnt that kind of guy at all

Does he remember her telling him that she could never see herself with him? Why hasnt he thought to question it? She must have wedding fever. Wake him up!! Take him to lunch this week and just ask him what made her change her feelings or her mind.

i have tried talking to him...but hes so brainwashed its sick.....when he called me hes like guess what? im like you and her name are dating? hes like ahhh im like o god what happened he goes were engaged thanx girls i thought it was just me thinking this is insane i really need to straighten him out
