JMO- I'm personally not a huge fan of wedges and formal dresses- I love them with fun summer skirts and stuff, but they always seem to clunky for a formal dress. But, if they work for you-go for it!

Not a fan.
Also not very comfortable to dance in all night.

I prefer a sexy heel to a wedge when I'm all 'dolled up'.

I thought i wanted a wedge and then I tried on a few and they ended up hurting more than a heel. I say go with a lower heel and be WAY happier

For comofrt I personally would go with a lower heel but it depends what you are comfortable in. In terms of style, pft, go with whatever you like. I saw a pic of a bride who wore white platform sneakers and knee highs under her dress and know a bride who wore flip flops and it wasnt a beach wedding. Depends what you like and what makes you feel good. Thats all.

It depends if it's going to be an all night shoe. Reason being, my ceremony is at OWG and we will all be walking across grass down the aisle. So I'm wearing a wedge sandal and bought my girls wedge sandals for down the aisle. I also bought sexy Grazia sandals for pics and the reception and my girls will be wearing sexy summer sandals after ceremony also.
