What do you think? Should I?

Hi girls! Sooo....i told my FH that I wanted a DOC and he thinks its a waste of money. I told him I wanted a photobooth and surprise, surprise, he said that im spending money on unnecessary things....LOL

I dont mind NOT getting the photobooth, but i think i want a DOC b/c i cant rely on anyone making sure everything happens/runs smoothly and I want to relax on the BIG DAY..

Do you think I should just get the DOC behind my FH's back? LOL or try to do things on my own on the BIG day? OR try to convince him??

Is anyone getting the same feedback from their FH's? LOL

thanks!!

Re: What do you think? Should I?

I think it depends on how much assistance your hall is giving you...

I'm not familiar with CB, but I'm pretty confident that the day of I'll be well taken care of. I was told a chain of command is super important, if a vendor has an issue, they go to the MOH first, then down the line that you give them, the last thing you need to be worrying about is well, anything! I also plan on divying out vendors and to-do's to diff friends so I'm not dumping everyone on MOH or FH, but I still have piece of mind.

That being said, I don't think its a waste of money if it gives you piece of mind! If you know that the DOC will be there to arrange everything and make sure its running smoothly, then find an inexpensive one, I know there are lots of good deals out there.

I am actually meeting with Bleu Diamond which is a DOC. I won 150 off that or invitations. I am going to hear what they have to say but I do not think I am going to get a DOC. I think Cresthollow will we able provide the necessary things along with my bridal party

I donot think it is a good idea to gi behind his back and do it. Maybe if you meet with some of them you will be able to better convince your FH that you need one

I heard various reviews where bride's had DOC's, but didn't need them for Scotto Brothers venues. CB might have enough assistance (since they run around like the secret service),

2010'er crashing!

I don't think you should do anything BEHIND your FH's back. That's not exactly the way I'd want to kick off my marriage! JMO!

As for the DOC, I didn't have one, but we did have a photobooth. I cannot believe how absolutely PERFECTLY the day went without a DOC. It was completely unnecessary for us. When I did need someone to go run and get something from 7-11, my MOH went for me. And the photobooth was a HUGE hit. I'd spend my money on a photobooth over a DOC any day! Again, JMO!

I agree with Jillii, I would spend the DOC money on a Photobooth... we're doing our Photobooth as our favors, i can't wait to book it!

Why don't you price them out via the internet and then go back to FH with what you learned and how they can help.
If you have the information and he sees it's really a good idea - maybe he'll consider it.

I'm using Christine from Piece of Cake and she really is very reasonably priced.
