what do you think this means???

my mom & i where reviewing our RH contract the other night and this is what the bottom says,

Total per person $
Service Charge (18%) $
Tax (8.725%) $
Total $
MatriD Tip $
Grand Total $
Less: Deposit $
Balance

the confusion is: what is the service charge for??
& if it includes a MatriD tip (which is $4 per person) do we have to tip again?

Service charge is gratuity. This usually goes to the waitstaff. It typically does NOT include maitre'd tips, that is separate.

it looks like the MatriD Tip is included already. which on the contract comes out to $4 per person.

OoO I didn't see that. I guess if there is a set amount in the contract specifically for the maitre'd tip then you would not have to tip them anymore then that. I would call the RH and confirm

if matre d tip is already on contract, i think you are covered.

other halls have a suggestion of between $3 - 5 dollars pp...but it looks like you are contracted to $4pp.
