What do you think will happen in the middle east now that Arrafat has died

I havent watched the news since alst night. Do they know who will be taking his place?
I think the history of that person will determine what will happen.

Regarding new leadership, this morning I heard that there are actually 4 different people who are taking various leadership posts: one will be the leader of the PLO, one will be the Prime Minister, I'm not sure what the other 2 leadership positions are. I can't remember the name of the new Prime Minister, but he is the man who was previously Prime Minister for about 4 months, then he left because he had a problem with Arafat. The good thing about him is that he is moderate and Isreal and the US like him.

Hopefully, he can stand up for the Palestinians while working with Isreal and the US. However, there could be a power struggle between him and the other Palestinian leaders, which could lead to in-fighting and more violence.

I think we'll have to wait and see.
