videographer and photographer assistants?

I gave my Photographer and Videographer $100 each and I gave the assistants $50 each.

Definitely tip them...I'd give each Photographer and Videogrpaher $200 and let them break it up among themselves. For me, I was told not to tip the photographer and videographer...to take care of their assistants only. I was confused, but they explained that they are the bosses and owners of the studio and you never tip the owners. So, FH and I are giving each assistant $100.
