I have some jewelry cleaner I use once in a while and I can also go to the jeweler where we got our rings and they clean them for free.
They are right down the road so its very convenient.

I use this jewlery cleaner in a red bottle... i forget what its called.. ill have to let you know later.

I use the one in the red jar, it has a little brush in the middle. Works pretty good.

Goddard's Jewelry Cleaner...it comes in a little silvery gray jar, they sell it in CVS and places like that. Works fine for me!

i use the same one that starhead and suzanne use. love that stuff! i let it soak for about 15 minutes and then i brush (esp under the diamond)! rinse in warm water and that puppy sparkles!!

thanks! FH thought I was crazy for wanting to use Windex. Will go and get the red bottle, but glad to know I wasn't totally off base with the windex

I soak in Fantastik, and then rinse in hot water followed by cold water, as instructed by a jeweler/family friend on 47th street. Makes my ring very sparkly!

I've only cleaned it once (I just got it 2/22) - I brought it to the jeweller with my SO bought the setting. I was instructed to stop wearing it in the shower...the shampoo & conditioner were leaving a greasy film under the center stone BUT it still sparkled really pretty. Now it just sparkles like it's brand new - can't believe I thought it looked good with all that grease under it.

Anyway, while there she told me I could boil water, take it off the stove, add 1/2 cup? (that's where I forget - 1/2, 1/4?) ammonia and some dish detergant...let the ring soak, then take a baby's toothbrush and clean it a bit. She said it would sparkle every time. Seems a bit labor intensive to me...my sister uses peroxide & toothpaste. I think she got that from Martha (Stewart).
