What do you usually give ...

as a gift for a engagement party? I have to go to one this Saturday and both my sister and I have no idea what to get Any suggestions?:

if they are registered you can buy something off the registry

If they are registered something small off the registry. If not, maybe a gift certificate to BBB or cash?

Thanks girls! The invite she sent didn't say she was registered anywhere...maybe I'll do the BBB gift certificate...whats a reasonable price to give?

I usually give cash...and received it for our engagement too.

we treat engagement parties like weddings when it comes to gift giving. unless its at someones house..

i feel if its at someones house u usually bring a gift but if its at a rh hal, treat it like a wedding

i would do cash or a BBB GC $50-$100, depending on how close you are

yes my family gave a bunch of gifts off my registry as engagement gifts. Mostly the keepsakes

For our e-party we got a combination of gifts off our registry and cash. For those that gave cash, most gave around $100 per couple. My e-party was a brunch at my dad's country club, and it was only BP and closest family and friends.

for our eparty we received gifts ranging anywhere from 125 for 1 person to 25 from 2 people..combo of bbb gift cards, gifts off our registry, cash, and other things like pic frames that werent on our registry

i was wondering about this as well, i'll be going to an e-party but it will be in her parents backyard, what is the appropriate amount do you think to give?
