If you were to completely remove the cost of a photographer from the equation, what would you want from him/her by the end of the day?
I'm only asking because FH and I feel like we've narrowed down our options to two.
The only thing I can't do is make up my mind because to me, all I want is someone with a unique POV who can blend traditional and photojournalism to make us and our families happy. We want them there for the whole wedding, but we don't need albums through the photog. Is there something I'm missing I should take into account??

Im wondering if I need them to make albums or if I could get all the digi's and make my own. I feel like that would be a BIG savings!

I'm going to use shutterfly - I'd rather have the option to control how many pics go in the album, plus design the layout. I've heard from several girls that parent albums usually hold 20-30 pictures only. For 65.99 before discounts or coupon codes, I could make my own leather-bound 12x12 book and add as many pics as I want!

Did you ever decide on which photographer to use? I am looking for the same mix of traditional and photojournalism and im having a hard time making the decision!
I also decided to do my own albums on shutterfly :)

I don't know if you've spoken to them yet, but get in touch with Lighthouse. Their work is AMAZING! I was literally sold within the first 10 minutes of our appointment. They do a good mix - which is exactly what FH & I were looking for. We aren't really into formal pictures, but they do them for families/bridal party & then a lot of photojournalism. We got a very basic and affordable package through them that included an album - but if you want to make it yourself just talk to the owner, Florio. He'll work with you.
I actually plan on giving my parents the album that we are getting eith our package and making our album, I told my mom I would make her one on shutterfly cause our package didnt include psrents albums (we thoght it to be a waste because both of fh psrents have passed and my parents dont need two) and my mom was a little upset, so i told her she could have mine cause to me they all look the same. I think as long as uou have the rights and hi res. pics then you are all set
