What do you wear when you go to try on wedding gowns?

strapless bra and should i wear full bikini underwear...i dont want to wear a thong if someone is helping me zip my dress up in the back and they see my A$$ in their face.....



Has anyone had any bad experiences? my one friend forgot to wax/shave her armpits and was embarassed when she was trying on gowns...

Well I would bring a strap less with you if you would like... I bring this one-piece strap less bra dress thingy LOL I have no idea what it is called but it has some 'control' to it. I can barely fit into those tiny sample dresses and i need all the help I can get

im going dress shopping for the first time on tuesday - I am wearing a strapless bra and grandma panties. and bringing heels (im super short so these dresses are going to be waaaay long.

I wore a strapless and reg undies- they fgive you a skirt to put on so they dont see your bum bum. ALs some places will also give you a full bra. Those are the best!!

i wear a bra with sraps bring a strapless & wear thongs, i dont plan on wearing full backs on my day,, Mom is pissed off bout that but thats what i wera .

Klienfeld's gave me a longline strapless bra, it was kind of gross in a way because it makes you wonder how many people have worn it. I wore regular undies and a bra. Neither store gave me a skirt.

I wore regular undies & a strapless bra, some places give you a bra to wear & most usually give you the crinoline slip to wear so no one sees your undies

When you go you should wear full undies, strapless bra and shave your legs and armpits so your not embarrassed. They give you the crinoline when you are there...I would also bring shoes so you can have the full effect and don't have to borrow their nasty shoes there. Also, bring a hair clip so you can put your hair up and down to see how it looks w/the dresses.

Ditto everyone's suggestion thus far and I would also suggest on bringing:
- Deodorant
- A bottle of water

Trying on dresses can be exhausitive

i went to Marshalls or TJ Maxx - I don't remember - and bought a one piece thingy. Its flesh-toned, strapless, and fits like a bodysuit. It was under $20, fits really well, and I just think it'll make me the most comfortable. I don't want anyone looking at my chub!

i didnt bring anything special and just wore a bra that the place provided...but I did forget to put on deoderant...YUCK... trying on 50 pound dresses for hours is a work out... i immediately went home and took a shower

i went to davids and they gave me the strapless bra. It really is exhausting !!!

Welp guess I am not shy I wore my thong and I don't bother w/ a bra when trying on dresses...I got nothin' but 'sceter bites so I just tell them to hand me 2 shoulder pads...


maybe it's all that going through child birth thing - once the entire hospital and your parents have seen you I don't really think you care....besides being in the high end clothing business for years made me realize no body cares!

I just wore a strapless bra, and a thong. Thats good for me. I usually never wear underwear .I didn't feel embarrassed in the least bit. They do this EVERYDAY, and have seen EVERYTHING! I guess I'm not self conscience at all.

Bring shoes too! Otherwise they give you shoes that hundreds of other people have worn. that grosses me out.
