For people who attended the wedding and give gift and for people who didn't attend but sent gift. I'm not good with words so please help.

Re: What do you write in your thank you cards?
I think the notes for people that didnt attend should focus on the gift -- if it's money you are supposed to mention how you might use it (honeymoon, save for a house etc). I read a book that told me that. If it's a gift -- mention how special it is or how you always wanted it. If it's someone that attended...I would thannk for the gift but also mention how happy you are they could share in the day.

Re: What do you write in your thank you cards?
If they did attend, I wrote something like 'Thank you for sharing our special day and for your generous gift' If they did not attend, I wrote 'Thank you for thinking of us on our special day and for your generous gift' I added more to each note to personalize it. For example, if a guest traveled far to attend our wedding, I wrote how much we appreciated their effort to be there. If they gave us a gift besides money, we thanked them for it and said something about how useful it would be or how meaningful it was.

Thank you for this post...I just ordered my TY cards and I was wondering the same thing!!
I'm thinking something like this:
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Jolie-Pitt,
Thank you for sharing our special day and for your generous gift. We are so happy that you attended our wedding. Maddox and Shiloh looked so cute dancing! OR It means so much to us that you were there.
