We are getting married Friday of labor day weekend, and our big honeymoon has to wait bc on September 6 I start student teaching lol. So we were trying to plan a mini moon out east, but it was either all sold out or 1,000 a night! Crazy. Then we thought ohh, how bout the city? We can see a play do the whole NYC tour thing, but come to think of that, we can do that anytime we wanted.
So I was on cheap carribean.com and saw that a three day getaway tom the Bahamas would just be a little over 1,000. This includes flight and hotel. What do we think about me surprising fh with this? I asked him about it and all he he said was 'ur nuts lol' haha. So I think I want to surprise him...
Anyone ever been? What are the best places?

I think that would be a blast!! I booked my honeymoon through cheap Caribbean too - their prices are amazing!!

I say go for it!!! I have been to the Bahamas, stayed at Breezes, wasnt a big fan! Atlantis is amazing!! Either way, cheap carribean.com rules and you will have a wonderful time!

Check out Cancun...Expedia definitely has the best prices, Cheapcarribean adds $200 at the end for taxes. We're going in October for 5 days for under $800....all inclusive 4 star hotel! 3 days prices out to be less than $600.

Crashing!!! Totally do it! I'm a teacher too, and FH and I are contemplating a mini moon before we take our real honeymoon. If we could afford a trip like that I would totally do it. Atlantis is amazing, but is pricey. The Sheraton on Nassau is really nice too. Also you may be able to stay at one of the Sandal resorts in Bahamas for less than $1000, in one of their lower end rooms. Just something to think about, airfare to the Bahamas can be really expensive due to the taxes for flying into/out of the Nassau airport. If you can do it budget wise, you should absolutely do it! Is it 1k per person or 1k total for both of you? If it's 1k total, do it. If it's 1k pp, that's ridiculous for 3 days.
