What does a dorm room need?

can i ask what school?

we also werent allowed any of that electric 'stuff' but in about a month we had a toaster, water heater, forman grill, microwave, toaster oven..

the rule is.. if you cant see it you cant be blamed for it.

the kitchen in my dorm was 4 floors down with no elevator and no windows...(prison, and it was dirty)

not to applaud bad behavior.. but you realize you need all those not allowed items real fast.

I'd be careful though. Everyone else was allowed to have them at my school but me because I lived across from the Resident Advisor so the RA's were constantly around our dorm making sure we weren't doing anything illegal. They confiscated my grill

btw i STILL have those bed risers and they still are the Shi*!!!

HAHAHAA I WAS AN R.A. I didn't care what anyone had as long as I didn't see it or smell it. What I can't get in trouble for you will not get in trouble for...that was my policy!

plastic plates
mugs
the thing you can attach to the side of your bed to hold remotes,tissues,magazines,pens and the such
a small rug
a waste basket
a cork message board
a dry erase board for the outside of the door
a dry erase calendar
a desk lamp
a comfy chair that can either fold or fit in a closet
a shower curtain or a regular curtain to use as a door for the closet
tap lights for the closet
a clip light for her bed so she can read while her roomie sleeps
a dvd rack
microwave/mini fridge
under the bed storage

do they have bunk beds or loft beds? if they have neither she could get one of those cool over the bed storage things... bed bath and beyond has them on sale right now for super cheap

measuring cup
a big bowl for popcorn

lots of pillows

either disposable utensils or a ton of real ones (everyone borrows them and they get lost quick)
plastic drink glasses

a velcro or magnetic dartboard

it's funny b/c i only dormed for one semester.
I loved dorm a life.
Actually to be honest, when FH and I moved into our apartment in March i said 'OMG I can't wait till July/August!' he asked why and i said 'DORM SALES!!'

i still live like i'm in a dorm. cold pizza for breakfast and all...
