What does everyone think they will spend on PHOTOGRAPHY? with POLL

I went to see Verdi last night,

There pictures and presentation were amazing, i love their style sooo much.

So for $4500 You get 2 photogs, all the proofs printed on 4x6's and a basic album...the album i like is an additional 1500 dollars. all enlargements, thank you's are extra

So for our album and coverage and proofs $6000

Is this high?

Can you guys post what you are getting and paying?

I have no idea yet, but honestly probably around the same...Albums are expensive

We went with Velvet. We got the Photo and video. I know it's over $6000. I will check the price when I get home.

I am using Gray Studios... originally I was doing a package for $3k... and $2k for video.

Last night I went in for my engagement shoot and ended up upgrading to a $3800 package and added an $1100 album

BUT If anyone wants details, feel free to FM me.. I can tell you everything Im getting in my package.

I went to Patken 6,400 including tax

this is what I get
100 engagement cards with picture and CD shoot
engagement shoot with 8x8 pic
Magazine album with 60 pictures
brag book
1 parent album
Video (not doing screens at wedding)
1oo traditional thank yous( dont love)
60 thank you cards (picture is cover)
cd with pics after a year
4x6 proofs to keep 10 days after honeymoon

I may have missed something.
My brother is getting a better deal at ADA
I want to try Sherwood Triart (If that is the right name) and Velvet studios.

Ladies photos are expensive! WHEW! Well What if I cut out the video because someone (a professional) is doing it for me. Will I be saving money????

My video can out to W/out tax 1570 so i think it would definitely cut cost.

We already booked with Franklin Square Photography. They are doing our video too and I can tell you we are paying A LOT for both combined but IMO it's worth EVERY last penny!

I don't plan on getting extra albums. I will make my parents albums. FH and I are paying for everything so I have to cut costs! I haven't started pricing photogs yet, but I have plenty of suggestions from people.

I will start thinking about it soon...

The photographers I am looking at start around $3600 just for coverage. Once I add and album I am sure I will spend close to 6K

But PHOTOS are the MOST IMPORTANT part of the wedding to me

This was so far the hardest part for me. I interviewed 11 photographers and I chose my photographer based on her work and her personality. She's awesome and I'm so happy to have booked with her. My package includes 2 photographers for full day coverage, engagement photo shoot, 3 albums, thank you cards, enlargements, proof album and a whole bunch of other stuff. This is costing us a little over 6500.
