Re: What does hand cancel mean?

something like when you mail your letters out they stamp them with a machine and it possibly might mess up your adressing or envelope, so most post offices give you the stamp and allow you to hand cancel them so it doesnt get messed up..

am i right?

Re: What does hand cancel mean?

Oh. Sounds good to me. But does it really ruin the invite when the machine stamps it? It does it all the time and never messed up anything I have very received Plus, doesn't this take forever? Thanks for enlightening me

Re: What does hand cancel mean?

it can crumple the invite because they're generally thicker than regular mail. so hand cancelling them makes them appear neater when they're delivered.
it does take a while...but after all of the money and time you spend on the invitations - i think it's worth it!!

Re: What does hand cancel mean?

I guess. But I think when I get to that point, I don't care how they get to the person just as long as they get there Do all post offices let you do this?

Re: What does hand cancel mean?

My invitations were hand canceled .. but the post office still ran them through the machine anyway. The machine stamp looked so messy.
