What does it mean when makeup is applied w/ airbrush?

I've never heard of it anywhere but this board, but everyone seems to love it.

i had airbrushing when i went for my trial with JN and I loved it!!!
Its a foundation that she sparys on through a gun. It lasts forever, looks totally natural and feels so light. Regular foundations feel 'cakey'.

Jennybaby is correct. It is a fine mist of makeup that is applied to your face. It lasts forever, but does not clog your pores. It never feels or looks cakey either.
