What does mom give 4 Bridal Shower?

My mom isn't so familiar with all these wedding day traditions and am the first to get married so I'm clueless too. I have a memory of the MOB giving the daughter white lingerie for the honeymoon night during the shower. Is this tradition? Are any of your mothers doing that?

She is also getting us 4 pps of our China. Seems the mom usually gives a lot but she's also paying for the wedding. Just don't want her to do anything out of tradition and want her to be comfortable even though there aren't really and hard and fast rules anymore, it seems.

I know the mom usually buys the Lingerie (cant spell lol) my mom is paying for my shower but she also bought my champain glasses engraved and then she bought a set for the MOH & BM. I dont know what else she bought she said the rest is a suprise.

in my experience the mother gives ligerie... my mom also baught all my china...

my mom paid for the shower. she also made up our holiday baskets. those are baskets for every holiday (Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc...) filled with household items, mugs, placemates, table clothes, etc. her big gift at the shower was that she hired a photographer for the night.

yeah the 'traditional' way is that the mother of the bride usually buys the 'wedding night' outfit. It has a name, and I can't remember it!!!
But, nobody really sticks to tradition anyway anymore...

I'm not sure what is tradtion, but my mom bought my sister all of her china, lingerie, unity candle, toasting flutes etc...and a few other things. She also paid for the majority of the shower.

my mom bought all my china, soup bowls, and matching platter..... she also has all these linens that have been handmade (this is so old school, its like a dowry lol), and shes getting me lingerie as well and i think a bride/groom figurine that ive been eyeing

Am I the only one uncomfortable with the lingerie from mom? And opening it up in front of our families?

My mom got me 12 place settings of our china and is paying for the shower, with MOH. Don't think FMIL is contributing.
