I don't think that happens anymore. I am not expecting anything from anyone this is our wedding we will pay for it. The only thing they should pay for is there dress or tux hair and make up optional.

the limo??? i dont think so, just their dresses and hair (if you require it) and throw some in to help MOH for parties (if they can)

I agree with this. I have never heard about the limo thing. Where was the article, other states do things differently.

Yeah never heard of that & I have been in many a wedding & the MOH. We only paid for our dresses shoes etc hair makeup if required & we all put in money towards the shower gifts & unless you are the MOH which is supposed to throw your Bridal shower. Also help in the Bachelorette party.

The BP usually pay for their own attire and help the MOH with the bridal shower and bachlorette party. Limos are usually handled by the Best Man (so I've heard) My FH's BMen are paying for transportation

I've never heard of the BP paying for transportation. Usually they pay for the Bridal Shower, Bachelorette Party and their gowns.

GISELLA: i dont know if you are doing this but a lot of latin brides have Wedding Padrinos (WEDDING GODPARENTS). It is tradition that the Godmother of the wedding pays for the Cake and the Godfather pays for the Liquor. Since both of these are included in my RH i'm having my Godfather pay for the limo's and my Godmother...i havnt figured out what im going to ask her to pay yet. lol

Things have changed over time so I wouldn't go by what you read on some of the sites. My bridal party is paying for the following:
1. BM Dress 2. Shoes 3. Hair [and makeup if they want it done] 4. Bridal Shower / Bachelorette Party [with the help of my mom]
But that's it really. I was not going to have them pay for any of my vendors. That's our expense in my opinion.

I solved all BP problems by just not having one! I have a MOH, but since she is my sister and still a student I am paying for her dress (and hotel, and plane, etc.). Maybe if she were older and working I would ask her to pay but I didn't think it was right to ask someone living in student housing and taking our loans for tuition to pay for such things.

I havnt chosen mine yet. My mom has a list of people she wants me to choose! lol it is a great honor to be chosen as the PADRINOS. Brides to be usually choose someone who they admire or care for a lot, kind of like Godparents are chosen for a baby. I will probably pick one of my uncles or my dad's best friend as the Padrino and maybe one of my aunt's as the Madrina.

my BP is paying for dresses/tuxes, hair & make-up. FMIL is actually paying for limos, but i've never heard of that being the BP's responsibility. the shower and the bachelor(ette) parties i think get split up amongst the BP, but i've known a lot of MOBs to pay for showers too, so....anything goes.

I am not familiar w/ them payign for limos, I woudl say no. Dresses, hair, makeuyp- yes.
