After reading the thread about tipping, I was wondering this. With our package, we get a maitre d' and a bridal attendant. What does the bridal attendant do? Fluff my train? Bring me drinks? I don't want someone hanging around me all day, sounds like something that would make me nervous. I plan on sitting down and eating dinner (I get sick if I don't eat and I'm not going to be sick at my wedding) so I don't need someone to bring me food. We're having a small wedding so it's not as if I have to walk around while everyone else is eating so we can greet all 200 of our guests. So, what then?

she kinda hangs around and makes sure your lipstick is perfect, veil if youre wearing one, or headpiece.. fixes grooms tie.. just stuff like that. I would definatly tell the banquet manager that you dont want her ALL over you though... so they can chill a little and wont make you nervous

But, if you have a DOC, doesnt she do all that stuff too?? I dont really see a point to a bridal attendant

There probably isn't too much point to the bridal attendant if you have a DOC, but a DOC is something a lot of people dont get, so it is someone to help you out throughout the day.

Which is one of hte many reasons you dont need a DOC The bridal attendant, is.. in essence.. your 'b!tch' for the night
