You just write it in the title so people know the same post is in more than one place. It's just so that people don't think they're going crazy thinking they answered this already and their post isn't there... or they don't waste time reading something they already read or responded to. There's no techincal protocol for doing it in the way that you click 'reply' or 'quote', it's just a courtesy.
