My cousin owns the Ritz Carlton in Jaimica (not Jamaica Queens) and she is hosting her daughters wedding there in April (No I am not as rich as she is...I am a normal long island social worker living on a normal salary), BUT...she invited all of my family and our significant others. On the invitation it says 'You Are Our Guest'...does that mean that she is paying? We are not too sure if we need to make reservations there and flight arrangements.
Any thoughts would help...
Thanks girls!

Re: What does 'You are our guest mean'???
She is definitely paying for the hotel. The Ritz in Jamaica is supposed to be really nice. I bet it will be a lot of fun!

Usually that would mean once you get there, they are paying. You'd probably still need to get your own airfare. I'd ask the rest of your family what they plan to do.

not sure but it certainly sounds like the rooms are free...since she's your cousin you should give her a call and clarify before your friends start asking.

Supposedly she is paying for her private plane to take us from Philli to Jamaica but we need to fly to Jamiaca on our own money. NO PROBLEM!! For a free trip to Jamaica?!? I'm in!
My mom says that 'You are our guest' means she is paying...I mean, she owns the freakin hotel!!! Who knows...lots of people have suggested that my FI and I get married while we are there too! Just as a joke of course..we want out own special day!
