Noone lied when they said everything goes wrong the week of the wedding.
We picked up the tuxes today, brought them home and......the ties dont match the dresses. For whatever reason their version of lilac is completely different than Davids Bridal version of lilac. The guy had told me to bring in a dress to match but its not like Long Island is right around the corner from me so I figured lilac is lilac....WRONG. Their lilac is pinkish. It does NOT go at all.
FH's brother is going there tomorrow cuz a button on his jacket popped so hes going to also take his girlfriends BM dress to see if they can get us something that matches otherwise just get black ties.
Those with experience with tuxedo places, do you think they can get that right away or am I going to have to go out and get black ties. BTW, FH's brother insisted on a lilac vest to be different so he'll have to change everything!

I'm not sure about how easy or hard it will be to swap out anything (its a huge wedding weekend), but just wanted to send you some

well - dave & I just went and got him fitted for a wedding in June & the guy there told us that they will have THOUSANDS of suits in that week because it's wedding season....
you should be in luck for the same reason - it's hitting peak wedding season!

you can always make a run to macys or penneys and buy black ties if need be! spending a $100 bucks on ties is way better than clashing colors in all your beautiful pictures!

Oh NO!!!!!!!! All i can say is DON'T STRESS!!! it's way tooo close to the wedding now so im sure it will all work out!! Everyone else will be busting their behinds to make sure you and FH are happy!!! Good Luck and just relax!!!

I hope everything works out for you! Try not to stress so much.. I learned that stressing just makes it worse.. I'm not that close yet and I am already stressing little things.. No matter what, it will work out and I'm sure your day will be just as great with liliac or black ties...

babe, don't bother changing the ties, if the hues are different it's okay, they are in the same family, it's not like lilac and red...I think lilacs and pinks go fine..they don't have to be exact matches to the ties, besides the maids steal all the thunder, the guys ties become moo quickly, lol

I really hope it works out for you!! I don't know much about the tux situation ...but u may get lucky since it's a big wedding weekend!! so i'll def keep my fingers crossed! HUGS for you!!!!!!!!11

thats exactly where im going if fbil calls me and says they cant do anything for us.

try loehmans or century 21. they have great ties for like $20-40. they usually carry enough that you can get a complete set. if you can't find a matching color find a complementary color.
