WHAT ELSE IS GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

As if my family hasn't been through enough...my mom calls me upset. She was walking my 8lb yorkie and the dog was peeing and the next door neighbor came out and started yelling at my mother telling her, she doesn't want my dog on her grass anymore, and why doesn't my mother pick up after her and she was going to report her because she's supposed to be on a leash. She made it seem like the dog was on her lawn...well no..she peed and has peed plenty of times on a strip of grass that is 2ft wide...near the CURB!!!!

Ok little history here girls...
1st - We have lived on what is now coming to be a 'racist' block for over a year already and this SAME woman has pet my dog a MILLION and one times...and even knows her name!!! The reason I say racist is because just last week someone from put a sign up saying 'please pick up after your dog..this is not the SOUTH BRONX!!!'. I live in a predominantly mixed area of Throggs Neck..alot of white, black and spanish people and ALL of the sudden this 'sign' went up...it's just unreal!! For those of you unfamiliar with the South Bronx...it tends to be known as a 'low class' area to others..when it mainly ranges from low to middle class families who just HAPPEN to be of the minority race...including white people as well!

2nd - we ALWAYS picks up after our dog. And I mean ALWAYS!!! Mind you there is a boy who walks a dog on a leash w/out picking up after it..and NOTHING was told to him.

3rd- while she should be on a leash...we have walked her this way for over a year...and have NEVER had any problems. It's not like she's a rottweiler or pitbull.

All of this is stemming from what took place last week...just as I figured. People are looking at us like we are such bad people...I can't believe that people can be so effin petty. My mom was SO upset...what the hell is wrong w/people???/

Just to be clear....I am NO racist..but I am SO tired of the stereotyping and comments from certain people....and tired of this b.s already...how much more can we possibly take? it's just one thing after another..and this is SO unimportant. I can't even believe that people would feel the need to call the police for something SO petty..when there is/are REAL crimes happening out there.

I'm going to let FH handle this..because I've just about had it w/this damn block!!!

Someone ...please...help calm me down. I feel like I'm about to lose it...and I really don't need this stress before my wedding!!!

I wouldn't get too upset about it, there is really nothing she can do. Just make sure you walk the dog on a leash from now on. Besides it being illegal - you don't want anything to happen to her. What if she saw something and started running in the street and got hit by a car?

I wouldn't get too upset about it, there is really nothing she can do. Just make sure you walk the dog on a leash from now on. Besides it being illegal - you don't want anything to happen to her. What if she saw something and started running in the street and got hit by a car?

This woman is not THAT old. She is NORMALLY a nice woman..always says hello to my son, and my dog. I know there is nothing she can do..but it's just so upsetting how HURTFUL people can be. What was the point of the sign? We don't know how put it up...and it wasn't in front of our house, but it was obviously meant for certain people on the block who happen to be 'minorities'. I CAN'T WAIT to get the hell out of there already!!! Defenitely not something I needed or my family needs..during what is supposed to be a 'HAPPY' time in our lives. Unbelievable!! This is what happens when you are a homeowner who doesn't really have 'property' and live ON TOP of one another...and precisely why I would NEVER buy any property in this area!

I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this. Some people just think that it is ok to act without thinking of other's feelings.

Just try to remember that people get back what they put out into the world and all the people who being so hurtful to you and your fmaily now will get it all back in abundance some day. Life has a way of doing that....

When I first moved into my apt complex, I took my dog for a quick pee..I was gone for all of two mins..when I came back there was a bag of dog sh*t tied to my screen door with a note that read 'keep you and your dog sh*t off of the property or you'll be reported to management.'

I was SO pissed. IT WASN'T EVEN HIS DOODY!!
I knocked on everyones door WITH the bag and asked if they left it for me.
Of course, everyone denied it.

Exactly..you can't change how horrible a person can be. Just try to calm down..trust me..I KNOW how mad you are right now. My dog is 100 lbs and and people can be really rude to me about him and it's take all of my might to not just punch their lights out. That lady sounds like a witch. I'm sorry you and your family even has to deal with her.

100lbs???? Wow!! The most my dog can do is bark in a high pitched tone. She is HARMLESS!! I wish she was 100lbs!! Then I'd sick her on them!! lol!

Yep, he's quite large but doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
People are afraid of him though which I guess is a good thing!

I keep my dogs in my yard to avoid those issues. I don't allow them on the curb unless they have their leash on (and a scooper!!)

Unfortunately we don't own the house...so we have no choice but to walk her. We can't scoop up urine...lol and we always pick up after her. Some people just need to get a life....I am realizing that now. To avoid issues...we will walk her on the leash...

While I do think your neighbor overeacted...i am an avid leash user and think it should be used regardless of dog type, age or training...if anything it protects your dog from potenital harm...sorry just had to add...try not to stress...just ignore her.

I wish I could walk my dog without a lease and have him follow me..but his nose is too curious and he might just wonder off and never come back! hehe...
