What else might I need flowers for?
I'm going through my list of needs for reception flowers... other than centerpieces, should I consider a floral arrangement for the 'gift' table? What about the escort card table?

when you meet with your florist they can tell you other ideas you may want to use flowers for your ceremony and reception-as you mentioned some are flowers for your cake, escort table etc. This can get very pricey. I decided to decorate with things other than flowers that went with me theme. I only used the florist for bouquets/bouteneirs and centerpieces.
I've seen a lot of people decorate those tables with pictures of them & their FH and/or candles. I think it looks nice and it might be a good way to cut costs.
I have a memorial table that my florist is going to decorate with a candle 'centerpiece'. We really didn't discuss any other places for flowers.
you can use the bridesmaids bouquets to decorate those other areas such as cake table (if you want anything more than the cake), card/gift table, memorial table (if you are having one) and escort card table. The RH will set all that up for you after you take pictures with your bridal party and/or your florist if they are still setting up during your cocktail hours etc. You can also use them, along with yours, to decorate the dias or sweetheart table. Its a good way to save $ and the bouquets aren't being used once the cocktail hour starts anyway.
Thank you, everyone! I actually met with a florist today and she mentioned having something on the escort table. My mom loved the idea, but when I heard how much the arrangement could be, I'm thinking I might take some of your creative suggestions to do something else other than flowers there. It's still early, so I have lots of time to think about it.
You may want to think about something simple like scattered flower petals and votive candles for things like the cake, remembrance, escort, or card table
I am having flowers everywhere, but that is because I love flowers, haha
We got married in a church so we had a vase of flowers at the alter. After the ceremony we took those to the RH hall and placed them at the escort card table. I think they only cost like $40 but it served a multipurpose. We also had a floral spray on the floor at the church which we were going to bring. But people forgot to grab it lol. I didnt have floral centerpiece but I did buy fake flower petals from amazon for $20 and they spread those on the tables, cake table etc. I think the box contained 1000 petals so we were definitely covered for all the tables.
