wow. I wouldn't even know what to say. I guess that's what they do. Just stand there and look pretty? But not as pretty as the bride of course!!!

They help the bride out. Help you gown shop, help with diy projects, plan the shower, bach party, and just offer support.

in my case...all I wanted was then to support me, be excited with me and keep my stress low...kinda what friends do anyway...also they planned the BP and helped my mom with the shower...

Re: What exactly does a BM do?
This thread makes me think of my 7 year old niece who is OBSESSED with being in my wedding. Her favorite question is 'So, what does a Jr Bridesmaid do?' We all crack up- we can't answer her with anything all that meaningful! We keep telling her she looks beautiful in pics, walks down the aisle and everyone tells her how beautiful she is all day. heehee!
Really though- it's a good question!!!

It is pretty much a person who you want to be very close to you on the day of the wedding to help you and stuff. They do plan the shower and bachelorette party if you have one. All my BM are my closest friends and my sisters but they are like my best friends.

Re: What exactly does a BM do?
I think a lot of it depends on who you are - some girls have the girls help plan the wedding, assign duties, plan and pay for both the bridal shower and bachelorette. Others just expect them to show up at the church in their dress. I've just been bouncing ideas off my BMs, and really just expect them to show up on the wedding day. Some of my BMs want to be involved in the planning, so I tell them when I'm going to see certain vendors and invite them.
