an after-party? Are these commonplace? How long do they last?

This is usally after the wedding..can last as long as you want. Sometimes they are at the hotel, someone's house or people go out to a club/bar.

Im thinking about an after party, with just FH and our friends, and if anyone else from the wedding wants to join us.... Depends on how tired I am!!
I also wouldnt wear my dress after the wedding. Don't need some drunk dude/chick puking on my dress!

sometimes after the wedding, the bride and groom along with some guests might hit up a local bar, or maybe even the bar at the hotel the OOT guests are staying at and just keep the party going. It's totally unnecessary and would not be expected. FH and I might be planning to do a little after party in our room at the hotel but who knows how we'll feel after the day is over!
