I hear so much about them, but what are they for? A must do? What information is supposed to go on there? Will I be making more work for myself??

What exactly is wedding website for?
My wedding site is basically used for information. It has information about our ceremony, reception, wedding party, and hotel block. Once we register, we will add that information as well. The knot has a lot of different options and an example of what should go on it. I wasn't going to make one at first, but a few people told me to so I did. It is kind of nice having everything in one place.

I am basically making one to put all the information for our guests in one spot. We will add our registry information as well as hotel information for our out of town guests.
I always thought they sounded silly and vain, but I just looked at someone's and it seems really useful! Simple and informative, and a good way to get people the information they need. I think I'll have to start one myself!

What exactly is wedding website for?
It's useful for sharing details about the hotel block, things to do in the area for out of town guests, registry, etc. I also think it's a nice way to share photos and info about your relationship for the people that you are inviting who may not know you so well as a couple.
I used MyWedding.com to make my website and it wasn't too time consuming.
