What family goes next to the bride and groom?

There will be a sweetheart table a bridal party table who goes on the other side?

I'd put the parents, grandparents, and officiant there.

Where? The question was what set of parents would you put next to the couple.

our table is center, facing the dance floor and on either side of our table are rows of tables. so fh's parents are next to us on one side and my parents are next to us on the other side. is that impossible to do at your hall?

It's not my wedding but it would be just bride and groom at one table and then on one side would be bridal party. The bride does not want to offend anyones family... so she doesn't know who's family next to them the bride or grooms family?

IF you are doing a BP table that table does not have to be directly next to your table. We had our table and DHs family went on one side and my family on the other. The next table on my side was BP

i agree with PegaLega....the bridal party wont care as much as the parents would

agree as well. and it really depends on the layout of your room. if you haven't already, get your hall to give you a table diagram. at our hall, we had 3 tables that were closest to our sweetheart table. two were parents, and one for half the bridal party. we had another parent table two tables away from the bridal party table that was next to us (divorced parents that had to be kept separate). talk with your parents though; they may not need to be right on top of your table as long as they have a clear line of sight to you.
