I thought it we started a thread listing our favors ( pics included if possible) and prices it would help out girls who havent picked a favor.. or help others find the best price for their favors.
I am giving CDs with our fav love songs, is probably $3 per favor, I am putting the cd's in a paper jacket and tying it with a organza ribbon, I did a sample and it came out great
P.s if I do personalized label its 3.50 if I order them its like $ 5.50 per favor

I guess I will post.. but I am spending alot and there are cheaper versions of what I am doing out there!!!
We are doing full size bottles of red wine w/ personalized labels on them. ( total is about $10 each for the wine we want) We are also doing heart shaped bottle stoppers that I got for $1.90 each. they are really nice and heavy not cheapy at all BUT I did recently find them from a vendor on LIW for $1.80 each. Too late for me but maybe that can help someone else the vendor who had them for cheaper was wrap with us.

I am making my own favors. I am having a 'Perfect Pair' theme. I originally found these great pear candles online and fell in love with the idea of giving a set of 2 pear candles per couple. Then I realized that would be wayyyy too expensive... about $13 per favor.
I was so upset but I did a million google searches for pear candles but then decided I would make my own.
I found a great site... ordered a little bit of wax, coloring, and scent and a mold... and tested it out. Came out GREAT!
So now I will be making my own favors. I am giving a set of 2 Pear shaped (and scented) candles with a pear leaf tag that says 'The Perfect Pair, Alex & Galina, June 18, 2005'. The pear candles will be enclosed in ivory organza bags.
The bags will cost about $50, the tags cost $65 with the shipping, and all of the materials for the candles (including wax, molds, color, scent, whick) ran me about $250 (i did not pay shipping - UPS messed up so they credited me ... saved $80 )
Overall.... I spent about $365 to make 125 favors.
$2.92 a piece and lots of time from me
I'm on vacation next week so I can't wait to get started on making them!
ETA: I will take a picture of the sample I made and post it tomorrow.
I think we're doing CD favors and Krispy Kreme's, about $5 per couple total.

attempting to buy high quality olive oil in bulk and pour it into tall glass bottels we are buying - slap a custom lavel n it, put a sprig of rosemary in, and BAM! a nice tuscan olive oil favor - estimated cost per bottle 2 bucks.
We'll see how it actually turns out though...
also doing jordan almonds and sparklers and personalized matchbooks.

I'm doing those little books with sayings in them and I had the covers made up for the wedding with our names and date and a special thank you and they are in a cream pouch. I wish I could remember the name of the site! I'm at work right now or I would have a pic to post!

I am doing breakaway centerpieces. My centerpieces with be made up of 5 or 6 nice vases filled with daisies. Each couple takes a vase filled with daisies home and the vase becomes the favor. Also no left over centerpices. The vases ran me about $3.00 each, and the flowers, well you have to pay for flowers anyway.

We are making a donation to the American Diabetes Assoc then putting a scroll in a decorative box that also will have confetti on. On the Jan/Feb to do list!

We are doing votive candle holders and that will serve as one of the favors. We are also giving away boxes of truffles.
