Im clueless as to what stores i should ask for gift certificates from
to be honest i shop at thrift stores mostly to get the once in a lifetime finds...
I am a teacher- size 12/14, and wear clothes mostly of average style
what store are good to ask for gift cards from???

well where are you registed?? get some from there so if theres something you dont get off your registry that you really want you can get it for yourself!!
I personally love GC's to macys, tjmaxx ... or the american express gift cards that are good anywhere american express is accepted

Ask for Simon Mall gift cards, then you can use them anywhere in the mall

Yes but the Simon mall cards have a limited life -- and they expire so MAKE sure you plan to use them in a timely way. Also after X amount of time goes by, they start to decrease in value-I learned this the hard way.

AND if you call to find out your balance, it takes $2 off your card!!! i'm not a fan of the simon gift cards

i always ask for Banana Republic - they have the best 'staples' for work clothes - good dress pants and skirts. Not always the most fashionable stuff, but definitly the best for quality basics to build off of.

2nd on br. i never shop there, but my brother always gets me a $150 gc for christmas. i get sooo much stuff for work and its all nice stuff.

The Simon (mall) Visa Card! YOu can now use it anywhere! It doesn't have to be at the mall! Anywhere Visa is accepted!
