Would you rather get a Vaccum or a Kitchenaid mixer along with a basket with some baking pans, measuring spoons, cookbook etc.
DH thinks that the mixer is cute b/c she loves to bake and its more personal but at the same time the vaccum is probably more useful.

I would probably say the vacuum because it is more useful, but my FH's aunt bought me my bakeware set and then made a basket with flour, baking soda, chocolate sprinkles, cake mix, frosting and a ton of other baking essentials and I thought it was one of the most thoughtful gifts that I received.

I should also add that she and my bil chipped in to get us a new TV. I wasn't registered for it but it was thoughtful and useful at the same time since our other one was on the way out and we had NO MONEY for a new one with the wedding so close!

Well the vaccum is $300 and the kitchenaid mixer is $200 plus the basket of stuff wont wind up costing me less then $100 so they are both even in price.
I also already purchased her a few little things.. her candlesticks and a lenox bride that she wanted so in total I will have spent the same on her as she did on me.

She didn't help me at all BUT since she was one of the BM's in my wedding she helped chip in for the shower ( not sure exactly how much maybe $150 or $200) But I'm not in her bridal party..... I think DH & his brother may just chip in and get her the vaccum from the both of them. That way she gets something useful but I get to give something thoughtful.

I need a new vaccum badly and hate to cook. so my choice is pretty obvious

Id want the vaccum cuz I think Id need to use that before needing the mixer. But if she loves to cook I dont think you can go wrong either way! :)

I love to cook (and hate to clean!) so I voted for the mixer. I dont think that you can go wrong with either choice!

I LOVE my kitchenaid, and can't imagine a cooking life without it. If she loves to cook, then definitely go with that!

I got the Kitchenaid at my shower....and so glad that I did. I'd choose that anytime over the vacuum cleaner.
