Yup...emerald cut. It was given to Charles by his mother, the Queen.

Yup...emerald cut. It was given to Charles by his mother, the Queen.

it's probably 7 or 8 carats.

To each their own. Maybe the Royals should have a website that asks 'what kind of ring did the queen give you?' or 'How big is your Royal Ring?' Come on ladies.

Is your royal ring royally ugly? It could be a new reality show. It may be an hierloom and big and worth a ton, but it's ugly.

Actually, engagement rings aren't very big over here at all...but I think it's a pretty diamond, it just didn't photograph well.

and as far as 'tragedy'...well, I feel that they've been together for over 30 years and that they deserve at least to be able to marry in peace...

I too, preferred Diana's sapphire and diamond engagement ring, but look at the smile on Camilla's face! Obviously she loves it...so...to each, her own!

He ABSOLUTELY should have!!! And, while I think that ultimately there should be no excuse for not being true to yourself in matters of the heart, I concede that he had pressures to deal with that I'm not sure any of us would ever understand.

Still, I think they REALLY love one another and they've perservered through A LOT and I think they deserve to be together.

I think it's so wonderful when older people are in love because - and I hope no one is offended by this statement - they don't look like they used to. I mean, how many people actually find a 60 year old man with big ears in a skirt attractive????...it's just amazing that after all this time they are still very much in love.
