What happened to my little girl?

What happened to my little girl?

She is so fussy and cranky most of the time. Mainly she started being like that at around 6pm til she falls asleep at 10 or 10:30pm. Now its getting earlier and she fusses during the day sometimes too. She also wakes up at 5am. She used to sleep like 3 hours more.
Is it the norm for baby's to be so cranky like this EVERY night for like 4 hours at her age (8 1/2 months)?
Any ideas on what could be going on or do I just have a noo-jee baby?

I have no idea about this...Completely Clueless, but I'll shoot for - maybe she's teething???

I don't think she is teething. She never acted like this when her other 2 teeth came in.
Any other ideas or advice?
Every night she cries and cries before bed. Me and DH can't take it night after night.
I even talked to her dr and he said its normal.
Anyone else's baby do this? What do I do?
We've tried letting her cry it out but she just crawls around the crib or stares through the bars crying and screaming.
Oh, I hope she outgrows this soon.

Is she getting enough to eat? Maybe gas?

She is eating enough and its not gas. I think its tired crankiness but its every night.
Last night she fel asleep in my arms and when I went to carry her to her crib, she woke up and started crying. I just let her cry it out because I just couldn't take it anymore. Now she wakes up cranky too. Ugh! I don't understand how she went from this smiley baby waking up every morning to this cranky baby every night before she sleeps and every time she gets up.

oh, you're scaring me!! I am getting so spoiled with my 3 month old going right to sleep and waking up smiling in the morning - but I know it can change anytime. Does she nap enough during the day, maybe she is 'overtired' at bedtime? I don't know why she would be waking up cranky though....tough one! good luck!

She has 2 teeth already and never acted like this. It seems if she doesn't get her way during the day, she gets like this too.

Any suggestions? She starts whining at like 5 or 6pm and this goes on til 10pm when she goes to sleep. Tylenol and orajel do nothing!
Me and DH can't figure out what her problem is. She's driving us up the wall. We love her so much but she is so WHINEY AND FUSSY EVERY NIGHT. Its so bad, I even thought something must be wrong with her!

my baby didn't have one sympton for her first 2 two teeth either (at 4 months)....then we went thru what you are describing when her other teeth started to come in...try giving her a cold teether from the fridge...see what happens. HTH...
good luck...

Re: What happened to my little girl?

Ok, today she napped quite a bit. She only had about an hour of crankiness tonight instead of her 4 or 5 hours so its definately a big improvement. I am guessing that she was having problems napping and so because she wasn't getting the sleep that she needs, she would turn really cranky at night.
She is actually sleeping now at 9:30pm. I can't believe it. I hope that she sleeps through the night and we can get a good nap pattern going now every day. Please, cross your fingers that this resolves the crankiness.
