it got replaced by a spanish language station. it no longer exists!!!!!!!!

etd to say: only in suffolk can you hear 107.1 or 105.3, which are run by the same people from 92.7

It went off, last week i think. They say that 107.1 is 'supposed' to be the new WLIR.

So sad, I have always loved that station. And even sadder, since it's been gone I have found myself listening to Lite FM and that new station 102.7, which is making me feel very old! LOL....I've always been a rocker so I'm getting worried about myself

Was just listening to 94.3 and Malibu Sue was DJ'ing...'the new island - 94.3' or something like that.

102.7 reminds me more of 106.1 than 92.7...

That's what I'm saying....when I don't have what I like to listen to as an option (92.7), I am choosing to listen to.....gasp....easy listening, pretty much, and it's freaking me out!

102.7 is WNEW out of NYC, owned by Infinity.

94.3 is WMJC owned by Barnstable Broadcasting - Malibu Sue, Rob Rush, and Jon Daniels are all there now.

WLIR is now 107.1 which is only hearable in EASTERN Suffolk. English Muffin and Andre are still on WLIR. Everyone else on WLIR is on other stations at Jarad (Nikki, Seanny O, etc.)

The other stations owned by Jarad Broadcasting (WLIR) are 98.5 The Bone (WDRE), and 105.3 Party 105 (WXXP).

You can only get those stations in Suffolk County.

I think 107.1 is like their sister station or something and plays same 80's stuff

80's new wave is getting played on 94.3 - Malibu Sue hosts a Flashback Lunchbox show.

107.1 is a KRock-esque station, with a little bit of the HARDER new wave - Violent Femmes, angrier Cure, harder Depeche Mode, but not all the stuff we looked for.

I heard 106.1 took it over. Not sure how true that is, but I liked 92.7.

No, 92.7 was taken over by Univision (105.9)
