What happens if you pay for the hall and you have surprise guests at the reception. Do you have to figure out how to pay then and there? I am not travelling with that much extra cash...mainly tip money that the MOH and best man will have.

Re: What happens
I am guessing you would hope for a no show and put them their! Or hope the hall doesnt notice . Maybe you can ask them to bill you?

Girl, I fear the same thing. But if they come and werent sent an invitation, there's a good reason why. Just show them the door!!! Im not trying to spend more than $100 for someone that wasnt invited to my wedding. Sorry to be so mean, but avoid the situation by making it clear to family and friends (through word of mouth of course) That those who are not invited will not be welcome. Hope this helps!!

But what if someone was invited, but replied no, and then decided to show up?

That's exactly what Im talking about. Let word of mouth go through the family that you WILL mind if an invited guest brings a 'few' people with them. Just let it be known that unlike all the other house parties your family thows, this one is different because you are paying per head. I know exactly how you feel, which is why even 18 months from my wedding, Im spreading the word.

Re: What happens
Do people really think that you can just bring 'extra' people to someones wedding?!?!?!? I would never think of it!

Re: What happens
If that happens (and I hope it doesn't, talk about RUDE!) you'll have to pay for them there. The hall will expect 100% payment by the end of that night so if you truly think this is a possibility, make sure you have enough to cover it.

Re: What happens
Do you defintely pay for everythign at yor hall befor ehand. t mind, I have to pay for 955 of it 10 days before & then we pay the remainder that day, incase peopel don't show up we are not scewed, and in case extra peopel show up, they are not screewed. I don't knwo how much extra to brignthough. I'd only count maybe 2 extra people, b/c its more likely people will cancel last minute.

Re: What happens
MY hall said that if extra people showed on the day we could pay for them then. Just bring a blank check or maybe they will take credit cards?
