What happens 8 weeks before the wedding??

What happens 8 weeks before the wedding??

It's 8 weeks until my wedding and i was wondering what should be happening in terms of my reception hall? Should they be contacting me to finalize details or is it too early for that? I could've sworn they said something about '8 weeks before the wedding' blah, blah, blah. I don't remember! I don't know if this is the norm but up until now, not ONCE have they called me for anything! Even when the deposits were due they never called for it. (And i thought if it had to do with money collection they would call even if it was 1 second late! ) It doesn't help that my banquet manager is on 'personal leave' since February!

Have your vendors been good about calling you or are you not supposed to hear from them until a couple weeks to the wedding? I realized that none of my vendors ever called me for anything! I'm getting nervous!

I was told I have to make an appt 3 weeks b4 to finalize

I have an appointment with my catering hall next week to finalize menus and any additional things I want. I also just called the florist since on the receipt it said to call before June 1. Other than that I am waiting for other vendors to call me. I figure if I do not get a call by july 1st, I will start calling them.
