I have never been to a shower before, and mine is coming up soon. What happens at a shower? What should I expect?

typically you eat, the guests play games and win prizes. Then you get to sit in a chair in front of everyone and open all your gifts while everyone watches. You eat cake and then have to attempt to fit all your amazing gifts into your car!

And you take pictures of yourself and your BP wearing a paper plate with bows and ribbons stapled to it. You should save this paper plate, for it will serve as your boK during your wedding rehearsal. I don't know who came up with this idea or why but that's the wedding law.
My sister's hat was like something for Scarlet O'Hara. It was platter sized.

Hmmmm. I don't have a car, so I wonder if anyone has thought about how I am getting my gifts from the restuarant to my apartment!
Not like i am getting many, I think only about 10 people are coming.

Its a lot of females getting together. I guess you could say its a bonding type of thing.
I honestly dont like showers. I get very antsy and bored at them. JMO.

WOW - you've never been to a shower before? That's kinda cool that the first one will be your own. The other girls have named most of what happens. They all vary. Some have themes. Some you play games at. Go with the flow! You'll have a great time...no matter how many people are there.
