If you have guests that don't come what happens to their plate of food? Does the RH give it to you if you want it?

I had one RH tell me we donate it to a shelter. I asked him, 'Isn't it the decision of the Bride and Groom where they want to do with it. They did buy it so it should be their call not the RH JMO!!

true! I like the idea of the RH donating the food...but the day after you might want some of the food to eat as leftovers, no?

I know i would! And on top of that, youre kinda paying for the food...you should have the choice to take it home with you in tupperware if you want to right?

i read a post not too long ago about this... technically, it's illegal to give the food to the bride and groom, however, most RHs do it because honestly, who is going to tell on them ya know?

on the other hand, there are some RHs who strictly enforce the policy and wont even give a biscuit.

I think you have to let them know ahead of time and they will wrap it for you... although I remember reading someones vent who guaranteed a bunch of people and she got a lot of no's....so since it was so many people the RH said they had a limit as to how many plates they can wrap up for you to take home...although that sounded fishy to me... but I would call your Rh to find out.

Its good to know. Report back!!
