We missed a package yesterday, and I called to ask them to hold it at a FedEx location but their computers are down, and they can't. And the package is on the truck for its second attempt....
Will they send my present back to Macy's? How can I get it????

they attempt up to 3 times (so 2 more times) and then they will send it back.

If there was a slip, mark in big marker to deliver to your neighbor - granted someone is home....

They will try to deliver it a few times. hopefully the computer comes back up and you could just go pick it up later.

They will try to deliver it a few times, and between delivery attempts, it will be held at a FedEx location for your pick-up. After a few failed attempts though, they'll send it back. And be careful, if it goes back, Macy's will process it as a return immediately. I know from experience.

I brought the slip with me to work, to setup the 'hold at FedEx Location' option- and we are heading straight out from the city....so no slip can be left
I left a msg for my super to ask them to leave a note that says they will sign for it....but I don't know if they will do it in time...
Today would be the second attempt- will they try to deliver it on Saturday? Or Monday?
